Victoria Beckham is considering an offer to design a luxury hotel in Dubai, according to UK newspaper The Mirror.
The former pop star and wife of footballer David was reportedly offered AED148 million to put her name to the hotel. It was also reported that she would help design the interiors.
The hotel will be on Isla Moda, a fashion-themed island on The World developed with the help of designer Karl Lagerfeld.
The Mirror reported a source close to the deal who said: “After meeting virtually the entire back catalogue of Who’s Who in Dubai last summer, she received an email… asking her to get involved with the project. She was asked to put her name to the hotel and help with everything from room design to the make of the wardrobes and furnishings.”
The insider went on: “The parties have been emailing each other for a number of months. The sum offered was incredible and Victoria obviously loves Dubai… The other stumbling block is time. As ever, she is simply so busy being a mum and tied down with her own fashion collection. It’s a very tempting offer, nonetheless.”
