More than two thirds of the region’s job seekers believe that pursuing higher education is crucial for career advancement, according to a survey by recruitment website Bayt.com.

In a poll of 19,305 job seekers, 51 percent of respondents said they are planning to pursue a higher education program in the next 12 months. Only 8 percent said that further education is not important to career development.

However, this could be easier said than done. Over half of the professionals polled said organizations did not generally support or encourage employees to pursue higher education.
