The World Health Organization (WHO) has confirmed that the H1N1 flu vaccine is the most important tool against the virus and has urged people to use it. Although mild side effects such as muscle cramps or headache can occur in some cases, WHO has said that the vaccine is safe.
“It is important to remember that the vaccines, which have already been approved, have been used for years and years and years in their seasonal vaccine formulation and have been shown to be among the safest vaccines that exist,” WHO spokesman Gregory Hartl said on Tuesday. “We would hope that everyone who has a chance to get vaccinated does get vaccinated,” he said.

Whatever WHO says, it is clear that unnecessary panic has been created. Natural remedies that have been used against the common cold and flu will work against any flu variant virus. Good and healthy eating habits are a must. If you take one Vitamin C effervesent tablet (diluted in water) every day during the winter will give you the required strength. And on the first signs of any cold or sore throat, one can take up to 6-8 panadols a day (in 3-4 doses) for 2-3 days.
We have naturally treated the flus and common winter colds in the last 8-10 years without antibiotics (or any vaccines) by using mainly natural remedies such as Ginger, Honey, Basil leaves (Tulsi) & Black Pepper (lemon grass leaves is an additional option) so even the use of Panadol was not required. Ayurvedic pharmacies also sell Chyawanprash, whose main constituent is Gooseberry, rich in Vitamin C. A spoon every day for youngsters followed by a glass of warm milk has been found to be very effective to build natural resistance to viruses. Important thing is: Dont Panic.
