Michael Jackson’s sudden death has shocked the world, and tributes from around the world are pouring in for the “King of Pop.” The 50-year-old was pronounced dead at 2:26 p.m. local time on Thursday after arriving at a Los Angeles hospital in full cardiac arrest.
His songs including “Thriller,” “Bad,” Billie Jean,” and “The Way You Make Me Feel,” are currently being played on news bulletins worldwide.
“It’s so sad and shocking. I feel privileged to have hung out and worked with Michael. He was a massively talented boy man with a gentle soul. His music will be remembered forever,” former Beatles singer Paul McCartney said in a statement to Reuters.
