This Forum is a unique global platform for promoting power and water sustainability in the GCC region and is all set to witness top level dignitaries and experts of the power and water industry from across the entire GCC region.
The two-day summit will focus on meeting the growing demand of water and electricity and managing the future water and power resources as well.

- Abu Dhabi-based water company TAQA & FEWA (Federal Electricity & Water Authority) have planned to develop a standalone seawater desalination plant which would have a capacity of 30 million imperial gallons per day.
- Saudi Arabia’s National Water Company is currently working on 453 water projects worth US $ 7bn in major cities across the kingdom.
- Bahrain’s Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Khaled bin Abdullah Al Khalifa will shortly launch power and water projects worth US$2.24bn.
- DEWA plans to expand the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Solar Park project by 100MW through an Independent Power Project (IPP) tender. Solar energy contributes 1% to the overall energy production for Dubai by 2020 and this will increase to 5% by 2030.By 2030, the park will produce 1,000MW on the completion of all its phases.The major topics of discussion include different control policies that govern the power & water industry, quality management, complete analysis of the most suitable technologies, effective management of power & water resources. These topics will be addressed by experts like Vahid Fotuhi, President of Middle East Solar Industry Association; Abdullah Alhagbani, Director of Corporate Projects, National Water Company; Alice Cowman, CEO, Clean Energy Business Council; Touseef Farooqi, Commercial Director, Taweelah Asia Power Company; just to name a few.
