Blue Coat Leads the Secure Web Gateway Market According to Market Share Report

Blue Coat Unified Security Solution Continues as the Standard for Enterprise Web Security

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, June 5, 2012 – Blue Coat Systems, Inc., the technology leader in Web security and WAN optimization solutions, today announced it led the Secure Web Gateway market in 2011, according to the latest market share report from research and advisory firm Gartner, Inc. [1] In the report, Blue Coat is the leader with 17 percent of the $1.95 billion Secure Web Gateway market, which combines both appliances and software solutions. In the appliance segment of the market, Blue Coat has more than 44 percent of the market, surpassing its closest competitor by more than 30 percentage points. [2] With 85 percent of FORTUNE Global 500 companies as customers, Blue Coat Unified Security solutions continue to set the standard for protecting enterprises.
