BUiD Professor Awarded ‘Best Professor in Human Resource Management’
Prestigious Award Presented to Individuals who Surpassed Several Levels of Excellence

Dr. Abubakr Suliman, Head of Programme- Human Resource Management (HRM) at The British University in Dubai (BUiD), the Middle East’s first research-based, post-graduate university, has won the prestigious “Best Professor in Human Resources Management”, award which is one of the categories under Asia’s Best Business School Awards, scheduled to take place on 23 July, 2010 in Singapore.
The awards of the highest stature are presented to institutions and individuals who have surpassed several levels of excellence, set an example as role models, and displayed exemplary leadership.
Dr. Suliman has published widely on management topics focusing on the UAE and other Arab countries, and is considered one of the most widely published HRM experts in the Gulf region. He has received multiple awards for his contributions, the latest of which being the “Pride in HR Profession Award”, which he received during the World HRD Congress in February 2010.
“I am honoured and delighted to accept this award,” stated Dr. Suliman. “Being part of this award ceremony demonstrates the resourceful curriculum we offer at BUiD’s Human Resource Management department, and on behalf of the Faculty I thank the Business School Affaire for holding this awards ceremony, and for recognising all the contestants’ efforts,” continued Dr. Suliman.
Asia’s Best Business School Awards ceremony is presented by the Business School Affaire, along with the Stars of the Industry Group. To date, the contests incorporate fourteen categories and sub-categories in which institutions and individuals from over fifty five countries contend.
