Chloe boutique, now open in Qatar at the Pearl

The international house of luxury prêt-a-porter, Chloe, in association with Al Mana Luxury, has made a grand entry into Qatar with its flagship boutique at the Pearl-. Al Mana Luxury is a member of the S.H.Al Mana Group, credited with the establishment of various international luxury brands in Bahrain, UAE and Qatar. The boutique in Doha is the fifth Chloé in the Middle East, after two boutiques in Dubai and one each in Kuwait and Bahrain.

 

Living up to its reputation, the new Chloe boutique offers the latest in fashion from ready-to-wear, leather goods and accessories, to fragrances. The boutique is ideally located at the “Pearl”, a destination of aspirations, and a paradise island that offers an exclusive, luxurious environment unparalleled in the Arabian Gulf. The store’s open design is an architectural play on transparency and light. The 227m2 store showcases the vast range of Chloe products designed by Creative Director Hannah McGibbon. Unlike all other boutiques, the Chloe at the Pearl features a unique painted dome with gold leaves, on its white ceiling.

 

Gaby Aghion, an Egyptian-born Parisienne with a dark beauty and a bohemian spirit founded Chloe in 1952. ‘Chloé’, a name she chose for its warm, feminine appeal, is perfectly in sync with the mood of Paris: youthful & modern in design, and slightly audacious in spirit. In 1966, Karl Lagerfeld became the house’s head designer, and under his direction Chloé turned into one of the most iconic fashion brands of the 1970s. Jackie Kennedy and Brigitte Bardot, Maria Callas and Grace Kelly all came to the Chloé boutique in search of luxurious daywear. With its romantic, gauzy blouses and long skirts, Chloé defines the look of a generation.

 

In 1997, Stella McCartney reinvented Chloé once more, with a romantic yet streetwise mix of vintage lingerie, tailoring, and signature low-rider trousers that hit a nerve with young women around the world and propelled the house to a new level of success. In 2001, Phoebe Philo continued the Chloé legacy of luxurious, audacious prêt-à-porter whilst stamping the house with her own unique signature: sexy daywear, fluid lines, graceful and distinctly modern diaphanous tops. On March 10, 2008, Hannah MacGibbon was named Creative Director and became part of the Chloé design legacy. She brought her overall creative vision to the brand through feminity and sophistication whilst preserving Chloé's tradition and luxury know-how. Today, just like Grace Kelly and Maria Callas did before them; stars like Kirsten Dunst, Natalie Portman, Kate Bobsworth, Chloé Sevigny, Kylie Minogue and Katie Holmes have fallen in love with the soft elegance of the French house.

 

For Spring/Summer 2009, the Sally Bag joins Chloe's recent hits Paraty, Heloise, Bay, Edith, Betty, Paddington, Silverado, and the Bracelet Bag, as one of the key pieces in Chloe's growing accessories line.
