Digital Media Services (DMS) recently announced that effective June 1, 2013, the company which serves as the digital media arm of Choueiri Group will be extending a variety of Rich Media advertising solutions (beyond the regular banners) to enrich the creative canvas which it offers to brands and advertisers. This move is aligned with the latest global advances in digital advertising.

The announcement clarified that a variety of new Rich Media ad units will be implemented across the DMS portfolio of premium websites in a phased roll out, which is envisioned to grow over time. The Ad units will be “IAB rising stars”, denoting their standard validation by the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), for their proven and tested ability to offer advertisers creative and compelling ways to connect with the quality audiences they want. They are simply designed to provide a richer canvas for creating highly-impactful and engaging brand experiences at scale. Rising Stars ad format offer multiple styles that are rich and interactive and re swiftly rising all around the web.

In a sustained effort to spur greater creativity in interactive advertising and speed adoption of new brand-friendly ad formats, the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) unveiled new standard units, deemed “Rising Stars”, which seek to create new canvasses for brand advertising on digital platforms and encourage brand engagement with viewers on their terms. Examples of the upcoming Ad units include “Pushdowns”, “Filmstrips”, “Billboards”, “Portraits”, “Sidekicks” and “Sliders”, etc…

The IAB Rising Stars are brand-friendly ad units that tap into the breadth of cutting-edge technology available today, providing new tools that resonate with consumers and serve as powerful vehicles for advertisers. Used for web, mobile, and video ads, the IAB Rising Stars ad formats were designed to be brand-friendly and intrinsically user engaging, using rich media ad units that are not only eye-catching and aesthetically pleasing, but are also far more compelling to target audiences compared to other ad formats.

Rising Stars are selected through a cross-disciplinary testing process and undergo in-market validation, to then be inducted into the IAB Standard Advertising Unit portfolio, the definitive standards for the digital advertising industry.
