Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder Chairman, D M Healthcare and MIMS India, a renowned physician turned entrepreneur based in UAE received the prestigious ‘Outstanding Contribution of an Individual to the Middle East Healthcare Industry Award’ at Arab Health and Innovation awards announced as a part of Arab Health Exhibition 2010. The award presented by Mr. Carl V. Stanifer, CEO of SEHA-Abu Dhabi health Services Company, recognized him as an outstanding healthcare professional for his contributions in research, leadership, innovation or mentorship that made lasting impact in the region. Dr. Azad Moopen was rewarded for his lifetime commitment to develop the industry. This is a second award that Dr. Azad Moopen has received since beginning of 2010. Earlier this month he received the Pravasi Bhartiya Samman Award,
Commenting on the occasion Dr. Azad Moopen said, “The Arab Health award is a most coveted award and I am honoured to receive this. The award is a testament of my commitment towards the development of healthcare industry in the region. Healthcare industry has a wider role to play by providing quality and affordable facilities to all. Our organisation D.M healthcare aims at achieving both. Arab Health and Innovation awards were announced on 26th January at a Gala Dinner hosted at Grand Hyatt. The awards are recognition for outstanding achievements of individuals and organizations that have contributed to the growth of the healthcare industry in the GCC area.
The judging panel comprised of internationally recognized and respected judges from a variety of industry sectors and disciplines. The judge’s decision was unified and points were based on set criteria.
