du makes staying indoors this summer entertaining with Video on Demand movies

Dubai, UAE, 23 June 2010: For Customers who wish a break from summer heat, du is offering on its award-winning du TV service selected top movies from the rich Video on Demand catalogue at a special rate of just AED 1 per movie. This rate will be available to du home service subscribers between Thursday 6pm and Saturday midnight. All rentals are valid for 48 hours, so customers can watch the movie over and over again.
“During the summer months, U.A.E. residents like to spend more time indoors. We are committed to making everyone’s weekends as entertaining as possible, and this special rate of AED 1 for selected top Video on Demand movie titles means relaxing during the weekend is easier and more affordable than ever before for our TV customers,” commented Farid Faraidooni, Chief Commercial Office, du.
The movies will include six new movies each week including Hollywood, Arabic and Bollywood movies. Moreover, Customers can choose from many hundreds of standard and high-definition movies at regular prices.
Customers who already have the du TV service can browse an exciting movie selection simply by pressing the ‘VoD’ button on their du TV remote control. Customers who have not yet upgraded to the du TV service can call 8003676 to request migration to the new service and start enjoying du’s state-of-the-art VoD home entertainment offering.
du has won several international awards for it’s du TV service, such as the Digital Studio Award for ‘Content Delivery Service of the Year’ and the Global Telecom Business Award for ‘Metropolitan Infrastructure Innovation’. Customers continuously praise du TV for its elegant and simple channel browsing and programme search experience
