In the event of the World Environment Day, Middle East & North Africa Internet Technologies (MenaITech) launched an eco-friendly rebranding initiative this month in cooperation with the Jordan Environment Society (JES) to recycle its outdated marketing material where MenaITech employees dropped off the allocated material at JES’ collection site center.
MenaITech CEO Dr. Bashar Hawamdeh said, “We have revamped our corporate logo which has led us to reprint and reproduce all our marketing material from collateral, to signage, to stamps. We have therefore decided to recycle our paper in the spirit of the World Environment Day instead of discarding it with no community benefits in return.”
Regarding MenaITech’s new logo, Dr. Hawamdeh said, “What we have done with the new logo is minute yet significantly effective. We have modernized several elements within the logo to fall in line with our new product logos; a move that we believe will standardize all our material and promote homogeneity. Also as an HR systems company we wanted to give our logo more of a human friendly yet technological feel that we communicate within our corporate identity.”
JES Executive Director Eng. Ahmad Al-Kofahi said, “We’re proud to have been the first point of contact for MenaITech when their idea to recycle their material came about. As the first IT company taking this initiative with us, we would like to further promote such activities within this sector since we believe that the ultimate purpose of IT companies is to automate otherwise paper based transactions and to support paperless environments.”
The first project of its kind in Jordan since 1994, JES’ Recycling Project is the first pilot project that is taking place in cooperation with the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) and the Ministry of Environment. It’s is to preserve natural resources, minimize pressure on waste dumps, spread and apply the concept of separating solid wastes for recycling, and promote the use of recycled materials. Such objectives are achieved by spreading the idea of recycling through awareness campaigns that are accompanied with used paper and plastic collection activities. The Recycling Project won the Ford International Award in
