Alfardan Automobiles, the exclusive importer for MINI in Qatar, has announced a 200% increase in sales of MINI cars during the first half of 2010 compared to the same period last year. Recording the second highest growth ratio across the region; this exceptional achievement places the Qatari importer among the top best-performing markets for MINI in the Middle East.
From January to June 2010, Alfardan Automobiles tripled sales compared to January to June 2009, clearly demonstrating an increase in consumer appeal – in Qatar. The MINI brand also gained market share against its competitors to lead the automotive segment in Qatar with a 39.6% market share between January-June 2010.
Through the “MINI Service Inclusive”, customers can benefit from a manufacturer-backed warranty that covers all major servicing needs of new MINI vehicles for the first five years or 50,000km, or whichever comes first, in addition to a three year manufacturer warranty. This package has been created to offer customers total peace of mind when purchasing and driving home a MINI from Alfardan Automobiles.
Commenting on MINI’s sales success, Mr. Mohamed Kandeel, General Manager at Alfardan Automobiles said: “These positive half-year sales make MINI the best-selling car in Qatar within its segment. These results have been attributed to sustained demand for the wide range of MINI models as well as the added value services and products that provide an enhanced driving experience for our customers.”
“These figures clearly indicate the underlying strength of the MINI brand in Qatar, and are a testimony to our capabilities in providing best in class service and care to our customers. We always strive to provide our customer with an enjoyable ownership experience, not only in terms of service but also through added-value products such as the ‘Service Inclusive Package‘ that help reduce the regular cost of owning a MINI.”
The MINI brand includes the MINI Hatch, Cabrio and Clubman – all three models are available in Cooper, Cooper S and John Cooper Works and will soon include the brand new MINI Countryman, a combination of the classic MINI and a Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV). On track to arrive in Qatar early next year, the MINI Countryman will be the first MINI with four doors, four wheel-drives, four individual seats and measures more than four metres in length. It will be the answer to the needs of customers who are looking for a bit more MINI, and a MINI which goes far beyond urban boundaries.
