FutureBrand, a leading global brand consultancy with offices in 25 cities around the world, has rebranded Batelco Bahrain, the nation’s leading telecommunications company and part of Batelco Group, which operates throughout Bahrain, Egypt, India, Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
In an orchestrated effort to enhance the company’s ability to innovate and grow in the face of increasing competition, Batelco Bahrain looked to reposition and redesign its brand.
A new strategy was created that reflects the importance of the company to the nation of Bahrain and its citizens. It draws upon years of expertise and dedication to convey that Batelco is an integral part of Bahraini life and will continue to be so by enhancing every day.
In tandem with its new brand strategy, FutureBrand developed a design system and brand identity that strongly links the brand in color and symbol to Bahrain. Moreover, the shape of the brandmark, which suggests an infinity sign, symbolizes Batelco’s ability and commitment to bring people and ideas together to improve lives in infinite ways.
FutureBrand also created extensive guidelines and implementation materials across print, digital and environmental channels. Included in this exercise was the creation and design of a new sonic brand for the company that will be used as the audio signature across all channels.
William Shintani, Executive Director & Head of Operations of FutureBrand Dubai stated, “We are very proud of this rebranding work for Batelco. It is a great example of how we help well-established companies strengthen their brand by helping focus their message and developing a strong design platform. Batelco is a very visible brand in Bahrain and we are confident this new effort will be a powerful step forward.”
