DUBAI, United Arab Emirates – 02 May, 2012 – help AG, a strategic information security consulting specialist in the Middle East, today announced that it has signed a partnership agreement with Excitor, a leading enterprise mobility solutions provider. help AG is now able to offer the revolutionary DME software solution from Excitor which helps organizations mobilize mail and applications within a secure container on a wide range of devices. DME includes tools to deploy, use, manage and control mobile services in a highly secure manner.
Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) is fast becoming one of the key trends in the Middle East IT market says Stephan Berner, Managing Director at help AG. “The Middle East has always been an early adopter of technology and this definitely holds true for the enterprise mobility market. We have been approached by a number of our customers who are eager to implement BYOD but have genuine concerns regarding the security of such devices. Currently most enterprise mobility solutions focus on device and application management on the mobile endpoint but lack information security features as they do not offer separation between private and corporate data,” commented Berner.
“DME however employs a unique sandboxing, or containerised approach which clearly compartmentalizes corporate data from personal files. Furthermore through AppBox, Excitor’s application mobilization platform, enterprises now have the flexibility to create and deploy secure business applications which increase employee productivity beyond simply using the device to access company email. This agreement with Excitor significantly strengthens our partner portfolio in the mobile technology industry and we look forward to making a big impact on the market with this solution.”
DME takes mobilization to a new level by translating business applications to the mobile environment. The platform also supports access to corporate email on a host of mobile devices including Android, iPhone, iPad, and Symbian while maintaining the highest level of corporate security. The key advantage of the solution is the secure partitioning of corporate email and data which prevents business information from being transferred to personal space while ensuring work related mail is sent and received only via a corporate server.
Commenting on the partnership, Alison Henderson, VP Sales and Marketing at Excitor, said, “help AG is a well established and highly trusted security adviser and integrator in the region. At Excitor, our growth strategy has always been to partner with organizations that add compelling value for the end users, particularly in the security space. The security inherent in DME is a perfect fit with help AG’s existing security offerings and we look forward to a long and successful partnership with them.”
