HILTON BEIRUT HABTOOR GRAND AND HILTON BEIRUT METROPOLITAN PALACE WELCOME A NEW GENERAL MANAGER

BEIRUT LEBANON – January 3, 2013 – Hilton Beirut Habtoor Grand and Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace ushered in 2013 with news of the appointment of a new General Manager Mr. Naif Zureikat.

Mr. Zureikat’s latest position served as General Manager of the largest convention Centre in the region located in Jordan, the King Hussein bin Talal Convention Centre managed by Hilton (KHBTCC) which he re-branded in recent years and serves as one of the flag ship entities in the region. Mr. Zureikat was also responsible for the pre-opening of the Hilton Dead Sea Resort.

Mr. Zureikat worked for Sheraton hotels for over 27 years.  In addition to all his endeavors, Mr. Zureikat received numerous awards amongst others while working for Sheraton and Le Meridien.

Mr. Zureikat said, “It is with great enthusiasm and humility I join the Hilton Team Members in Beirut. 2012 was a year of changes for the two hotels and I can assure that 2013 will be met with many more amazing changes first of all to serve our many guests and colleagues.”

Mr. Zureikat’s appointment comes with news of the departure of well-respected General Manager, Mr. Jean-Pierre Mainardi.

Mr. Mainardi comes from five generations of Hoteliers in Normandy, France. He leaves Beirut after having introduced many new initiatives in both hotels such as the now prominent Hilton Wine School.

Mr. Mainardi departs Lebanon to take on the reigns as General Manager of the Conrad Hotel in Cairo. All the team members of both Hilton Beirut Habtoor Grand and Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Mainardi for his continuous support and wish him the best of luck in his new endeavors.
