Dubai, August 26, 2010 – IKEA UAE will begin free delivery of its signature annual publication – the IKEA Catalogue 2011 – to all UAE on 1st September following the simultaneous 38-country global launch by the world’s most popular home interiors brand.
Themed ‘Hooray for Every Day’, the 60th edition features 380 pages of the Swedish company’s globally renowned products, fittings, furnishings, accessories with new lower price points and myriad ideas to inspire parents and individuals towards celebrating each day of their lives.
IKEA UAE has appointed Blue Truck LLC to undertake the free door-to-door delivery of nearly 733,250 copies of the special 60th anniversary catalogue which has attracted almost a cult-like following since it was first published in 1951.
The 2011 Catalogue is also available at the IKEA stores at Dubai Festival City and Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi. Prices are guaranteed not to increase while the catalogue is valid for a full year from September 2010 till August 2011.
Mile Franicevic, General Manager IKEA UAE, said: “IKEA is a solid market relevant brand and our products continue to revolutionise interior design year after year, by setting trends that synergise aesthetics, utility and convenience. I’m glad to report that the IKEA 2011 Catalogue celebrates this wonderful variety and innumerable points of diversity.
“The IKEA 2011 catalogue arms you with the ability to get exactly the home you love within the concepts of beauty, convenience and comfort. This year, even more than ever before, we are working very hard to offer unmatched value to our customers. With the introduction of this new catalogue we have focused on several innovative products that not only match IKEA’s high standards of sustainability but also stand the test of time,” Mile added.
With this year’s catalogue and its theme, IKEA UAE cements the brand’s strong commitment towards understanding customer needs and making honest efforts at meeting those demands. The catalogue also informs its readers about IKEA’s new store on Yas Island which will open in 2011.
The new 2011 catalogue comes in an easy-to-carry format which is smaller in size than previous catalogues yet it’s packed with more ideas to trigger your creative thinking across 380 colourful pages. Organised in categories of living spaces to help find just what you are looking for, the Catalogue also features product information complete with price, finishing, constituent materials, colour range and maintenance advice – enabling you to make an informed purchasing decision.
The most widely distributed commercial publication in the world, 198 million copies of the IKEA catalogue are printed in 28 languages and read by more than 400 million people in 38 countries. The catalogues are printed on totally chlorine-free paper and contain at least 10-15% post-consumer waste. No rainforest or old-growth fibres are used and approximately 70% of the paper used is from certified forests.
New products are continuously launched over the year in IKEA stores and on the IKEA website. The full IKEA range includes around 7500 products, some of which can be seen on the website www.IKEAuae.com. IKEA also offers a home delivery and assembly service in the UAE at reasonable rates.
