MCC Arabia launches its special Hajj application for smart phone users

Mobile Channels Company (MCC), the leading company specialized in mobile applications development and content distribution, has unveiled its integrated “Dorar Al-Hajj” application, specially designed to guide pilgrims on how to perform the Hajj rituals using their smart phones.

The free application encompasses easy-to-follow instructions for any Muslim intending to go to Makkah for the Hajj. It provides in-depth information on Hajj-related topics in accordance with the Qur’an and the Sunnah.

In his comment, MCC Arabia’s General Manager, Salem Al Enzi, said: “As a leader in digital content development for mobile phones, MCC developed “Dorar Al-Hajj” application whose interactive, user-friendly interface will provide pilgrims with handy instructions and information on all Hajj-related rituals. In addition, the application encompasses “Fatawi Al-Hajj” service through which pilgrims can contact officials of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs for free if they have any inquiries on Hajj rituals.”

“The idea of the application stemmed from the need to forestall the problems Muslim pilgrims may encounter during their journey. MCC’s Hajj application will give users complete information and detailed guidelines to perform all the necessary acts during Hajj, starting from Ihram to the end of performing Hajj, supported with detailed, interactive maps for the holy sites,” Al Enzi added.

Al Enzi noted that the application also contains audio Hajj-related verses from the Holy Qur’an and Islamic Ahadiths of Prophet Muhammad. Other than that, users can also view pictures of the different Holy places that are spread all over Saudi Arabia.

In addition to incorporating lists of important addresses and phone numbers which connect pilgrims to police, ambulance, or hospitals in case of emergency, the application enables pilgrims to share its content together with pictures of the Islamic places with friends via emails or social media networks.

It is worth mentioning that “Dorar Al-Hajj” application, which will be available via mobile application stores for users to download it, is compatible with most smartphone operating systems including iOS for iPhone and iPad, toether with Android, BlackBerry and Nokia smartphones.
