New Director of Sales and Marketing Appointed for BMW Group Middle East
As one of the most successful premium companies in the Middle East, the BMW Group ended the first half year with a 13 percent growth in sales across the region.

BMW Group Middle East has appointed Reiner Braun as its new Director of Sales and Marketing for the Middle East region, responsible for the BMW and MINI brands in 14 markets.
Braun, will assume his new role as of July 2010 from James Crichton, who will move within the BMW Group as Regional Director for Rolls-Royce Middle East.
A seasoned marketing and sales professional with more than 10 years experience within the BMW Group, Braun fulfilled a number of key roles in regional management, importer business expansion development, after sales and marketing. He also brings diverse market experience to the role having previously worked in Germany, South America and the Middle East.
Commenting on Braun’s appointment, Phil Horton, Managing Director, BMW Group Middle East said: “Reiner is the perfect candidate as he has breadth of experience, a successful track record having worked with the Group for more than a decade, and a solid understanding of the Middle East region.
“Prior to his new appointment, Reiner was working as the Sales & Marketing Director for our Saudi Arabia importer, Mohamed Yousef Naghi Motors, in one of our biggest markets that achieved double digit sales growth during the past two years. Prior to his tenure in the Kingdom, Reiner was based in the BMW Group Dubai office as Area Manager responsible for a number of Middle East markets. My team and I wish Reiner all the best and look forward to his continued contribution in his new role.”

A total of 8,096 BMW and MINI cars were delivered to customers across 14 markets. The company made gains in virtually all markets during the first half-year, with sales in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Syria, Yemen and Pakistan reporting the strongest growth. On the product side, the flagship BMW 7 Series remained the company’s best-selling model followed by the BMW X6, the new 5 Series and the X5 models.
