OMA Emirates to showcase wide range of solutions at Cards & Payments Middle East exhibition
Presentations will focus on new developments and highlight the introduction of managed services

Sharjah, UAE, April 28, 2013: OMA Emirates, a provider of cutting edge technology for the payment industry today announced that it will showcase its entire range of services at Cards & Payments Middle East exhibition at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre on May 14 – 15, 2013. These include the NanoSwitch comprising of Card Management Systems (CMS), Merchant Management Systems (MMS), Clearing & Settlement Systems, Fraud Detection Management, payment terminals and applications, EMV solutions and NFC solutions. The company will also highlight its expertise in Managed Services for the financial and banking sector.

EMV Card Issuance – Developed in-house, NanoPerso is well received by the industry based on the user friendly interface and highly customisable options. The technologically superior system enables magnetic stripe encoding as well as contact/contactless encoding. It offers a high level of security through encryption using key managed schemes and imported data from the CMS is provided with the cryptography using a Hardware Security Module. The solution controls issuance through personalization supporting multiple databases and allowing data retrieval, image capture, card issuance and reporting facilities.
Managed Services – OMA Emirates has set up a specialized cell to provide options for in-premise as well as to out-source several functions for financial institutions. The low investments in hardware, customized software, and manpower provided have a positive impact on costs as well as service efficiency. In-premise managed service cover functions such as data security, risk management, operations, etc.
NanoSwitch – Complying with strict EMV standards the NanoSwitch manages issuing (CMS) and acquiring Merchant Management System (MMS) functions for banking cards including card and merchant functionalities, payment authorization, clearing & settlement etc. It can be integrated with other third party systems and is based on an open platform which is forward and backward compatible.
Point Of Sale (POS) Applications – Processes all types of cards through real time authorization in a secure payment environment. It generates daily deposit, outstanding balance, operator and batch reports. Solutions include Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) an application designed to provide transaction details in both local currency and currency of the card holder. The payment by installment service on terminals enables customers to convert purchases into EMI schemes. Other services include payment of utilities bills, purchase of mobile top-up on POS terminals, loyalty on POS, etc. The applications dynamic menu based screen and multilingual support along with its flexibility, accuracy, security, speed, low processing costs and ease of installation makes it ideal for businesses.
Near Field Communication (NFC) – OMA Emirates has the infrastructure for NFC Card Issuance and Certification and is also Trusted Service Manager (TSM) certified to do the same. NFC Technology allows smartphone users to use their mobile phones as banking cards in a Tap & Go process.
