With excitement growing in Qatar and around the world in anticipation of a sizzling summer of soccer, Qtel will launch the first-ever Hala Fan Club especially for football fans from 2 June.
Available to every Hala customer, the Hala Fan Club will offer a bumper pack of points for calls, video calls and text messages to use with other fan club members.
For just a QR 25 membership fee, customers will get 1,000 points to stay in constant communication. The points can be used in place of Hala credit, and offer great value for people who want to follow every kick of every match, and discuss the results with other fans.
In exchange for one point, fan club members can make a one-minute phone or video call, or send a text message to any other fan club member. Effectively, they will have up to 1,000 minutes of talk time for just QR 25 – the perfect way to stay in touch over the hot summer months.
The idea is to create the largest-ever community of football fans in Qatar, who can follow every minute of the summer’s soccer highlights and share great moments over Qtel’s robust and reliable network. By adding video calls, fans will also be able to record and send their favourite moments, so that everyone can take part in the celebrations.
To make it even easier, Qtel has made it possible for anyone to join the Hala Fan Club simply by sending a text message. By sending “FAN” by SMS to 121 or dialling *121#, customers will be automatically enrolled in the Fan Club.
Customers can check the points balance at any time by dialling *121# and following the onscreen instructions.
Qtel has a huge range of soccer surprises lined up in 2010, as part of its role as the most passionate football fan in Qatar.
The Hala Fan Club will start from 2 June, and customers will be able to use their points at any time between 11 June and 11 July 2010.
