Rhodes Mezzanine celebrates three years of success

Celebrity chef Gary Rhodes hosts celebratory dinner at Grosvenor House Dubai’s stunning signature restaurant .

Dubai, UAE 21st September 2010: This past weekend, on two consecutive evenings, Rhodes Mezzanine at Grosvenor House Dubai welcomed loyal diners to celebrate three outstanding years of operation. Marking this momentous occasion, Michelin starred celebrity chef Gary Rhodes, alongside Grosvenor House Dubai and Le Royal Méridien Beach Resort + Spa Complex General Manager, Pam Wilby, hosted two glittering dinners at the stunning flagship restaurant.

The exclusive events were attended by several of the establishment’s loyal diners who relished in the delicious 7 course set menu, rustled up by the celebrity chef himself.

On both nights, the set menu served as a celebration of Rhodes Mezzanine classics, starting with canapés including monkfish tempura with sour cream and lime, blue cheese toast sandwich and chicken liver and foie gras parfait.

Diners were then treated to a deliciously sweet and creamy white tomato soup, followed by a delectable tart with fresh goat’s cheese. The main courses that followed were the oxtail cottage pie, salmon with scallops and roast duck with caramelised turnip, melting foie gras and a blueberry red wine sauce.

Moving on to dessert, diners were treated to iced lemon meringue with raspberries before delving into a very decadent sticky toffee pudding soufflé with toffee sauce and toffee ice cream; the perfect end to a perfect celebratory evening.

The restaurant is firmly established as the city’s quintessential destination for signature modern British cuisine with a French flair.
