The auction, organized by Antiquorum, took place in New York on March, 5th 2009. The lot has been acquired by Vijay Mallya, the famous Indian captain of industry, at the record price of US$ 1.8 million.
Thereby, this unique time keeper worn by Mahatma Gandhi during several years will be returning to India.
