Sales record in New York of the Zenith Pocket Watch of Mahatma Gandhi.

Zenith, the Luxury Watch Manufacture, is pleased to announce the acquisition of the historical pocket watch (1915) formerly owned by the political and spiritual leader Mahatma Gandhi. The auction, organized by Antiquorum, took place in New York on March, 5^th 2009. The lot has been acquired by Vijay Mallya, the famous Indian captain of industry, at the record price of US$ 1.8 million.

Thereby, this unique time keeper worn by Mahatma Gandhi during several years will be returning to India.
