Dubai, UAE; August 19, 2010: SEGA Republic, the largest of its kind indoor theme park in the Middle East, managed by Emaar Retail LLC, a pioneer in innovative entertainment, leisure & retail concepts, is celebrating its first anniversary on 21 August 2010.

For this occasion, SEGA Republic Dubai is launching a month-long bonanza for visitors with special promotions and weekly prizes from August 11 to September 14 at The Dubai Mall.

This promotion will offer visitors more mileage on their thrilling experience at SEGA Republic. The Power Pass, valid for a full day covering all attractions, will be priced at AED 100; the Platinum Power Pass for AED 200, will offer visitors access for a whole day and a bonus AED 200 for games; while the Power Pass Express for AED 50, valid for one-hour any time between 10am – 5pm, will provide visitors with unlimited access to all nine attractions.

Visitors that spend AED 100 or more on games or leisure attractions will be given the chance to win several prizes during the weekly raffle draws. In the first week, guests can enter the draws to win iPods; iPhones in the second week; HP Notebooks in the third week; iPads in the fourth week; and in the fifth week, visitors will have the opportunity to win and a pair of tickets to any destination in Europe.

The latest selection of attractions and games has been received positively by a multitude of nationalities. SEGA Republic’s operational hours during Ramadan and Eid will be from 10am – 1am on weekdays and weekends.

Sprawling over 76,000 sq ft, SEGA Republic is designed by experts at SEGA® Corporation, the world leader in indoor entertainment. SEGA Republic features five zones – Speed, Sports, Adventure, Cyberpop and Redemption – offering an array of everything from action packed motion-simulators to simulated sports games, classic carnival games and one of the region’s largest selections of prize-winning redemption games.

There are more than 250 amusement games that will appeal to all. In addition to SPIN GEAR, other adrenaline-pumping attractions include SONIC HOPPER, LET’S GO JUNGLE! SPECIAL, HALFPIPE CANYON, WILD JUNGLE, STORM-G, WILD JUNGLE, OUTRUN 2 SPECIAL TOURS SDX and INITIAL D4 LIMITED.

Other leisure attractions at The Dubai Mall include KidZania®, an edutainment centre for children offering 70 role-play opportunities; the 22-screen Reel Cinemas; Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo; and the Olympic-sized Dubai Ice Rink.
