Wassim Karkabi was recently appointed as Regional Practice Leader of Stanton Chase International’s Industrial Practice overseeing Europe, Middle East & Africa. Stanton Chase International is one of the top 10 Global Executive Search Consulting firms. Based in the Dubai office, which is the flagship office for the Middle East Region and the first in a series of offices to open around key markets of the Middle East, Wassim Karkabi has invested the last 14 months developing the office’s client base focusing to a large majority on the industrial sector within the Middle East Region, a task which he has now been charge to lead and coordinate across Europe, Middle East & Africa.
“My appointment is one of three new appointments for Regional Practice Leaders across the globe. The objective of this role is to basically connect with and involve the consultants from all of Stanton Chase’s EMEA offices who are specialized in the Industrial Practice, and share our expertise, our connections, and our knowledge in the sector to create value propositions in Leadership Talent Acquisition for our clients and streamline our services across their operations. The role will require me to connect with and engage with people internally and externally within the total region. It also requires me to connect with the other two Regional Practice Leaders and the Global Practice Leader to do the same across regions so that the RPL/GPL team can develop the practice globally.”
Wassim joined Stanton Chase in 2007 where he took on the role of Principal Consultant of the Dubai office, developing client relationships and delivering executive search consulting services across the Middle East. He has an extensive background and expertise in the Industrial Practice, covering subsectors such as Industrial Equipment & Machinery, Real Estate, Construction, Facilities Management, Electrical, Mechanical, Utilities, Water, Manufacturing, Automotive, among others. Wassim Karkabi has also completed numerous assignments for Consumer Products & Services clients since 1997 when he was a partner in an executive search firm in Lebanon working across the gulf countries.
“Western Europe is mature and our focus and growth turns to companies who are growing their operations from Europe and other western markets into the Middle East & Africa. The Growth in the Middle East is tremendous, and Africa is getting ready to become the next emerging market. All these factors play an important role. The three most important sectors in the middle east and more importantly the GCC are Energy & Natural Resources, Financial Services, and Industrial. With Real Estate Development and construction taking on a major lead in the Industrial sector, we have a lot of work ahead of us, and our major challenge will be to mobilize talent across regions and countries to meet our clients’ needs for growth.”
Wassim Karkabi holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Marketing from the University of La Verne, California, completed at the off-shore campus, in Athens. He is a member of the Association of Executive Search Consultants among other numerous HR Generalist and Specialist Associations, Forums and Advisory Boards across the Middle East.
