Overwhelming GCC response to’s contest with more than 1000 participants and announcing the winner of 2 Istanbul return tickets

Overwhelming GCC response to’s contest with more than 1000 participants and announcing the winner of 2 Istanbul return tickets organized a unique month-long online contest as a token of gratitude to its customers across the GCC. The contest, held through social networking sites, saw more than a thousand participants taking part, ending on June 27, 2014. This was followed by a random draw on July 1 for two return tickets to Istanbul.  Mr. Aziz Mohammed of Bahrain turned up the winner.

Under the terms of the contest, participants had to take a picture of their bills and post it on their social media accounts in Instagram, Twitter, Facebook or Google Plus using @Talabat #Talabatorder to enter the draw. Owners of private accounts were allowed to post their entries from within their account after posting on their personal social media account. The more posts, the greater the chances of winning.

On the occasion of announcing the winner, Mr. Mohamed Itani, Online Marketing Manager of, offered his congratulations to the winner and expressed his gratitude to Talabat’s customers for their overwhelming response. Furthermore, Talabat’s CEO, Mr. Mohammed Nabil Jaffar, also thanked’s loyal followers for their participation, which helped the contest achieve record-high numbers of interaction and astounding results across social media.  The number of followers on the brand’s Instagram profile increased by 4,000, Twitter went up by 500 and Facebook shot up by 12,000 followers. As a result of the campaign, also saw a dramatic increase in Talabat orders.
