Thursday, May 9, 2013 Amman – In partnership with MenaIP, an initiative launched by MenaITech, the regional company specialized in building and deploying human resources applications, Trip to Innovation (TTI) organized an interactive workshop, aspiring to promote the culture of entrepreneurship and innovation amongst Jordanian youth in the telecommunications industry and the IT sector.
Bringing together over 130 Jordanian university students, graduates, and workers in IT companies, the event acquainted attendees with means of entrepreneurial success and ways to boost creativity.
Linking participants with the nation’s entrepreneurial thought leaders in an interactive environment, the workshop also aimed to provide the participants with innovation tools necessary to develop their ideas and transform them into tangible projects that can push the nation’s economy forward.
In his comment, MenaITech’s CEO, Dr. Bashar Hawamdeh, said: “It is our pleasure to be a strategic partner of this initiative, working towards achieving its goals and making it a success. Our support of this event through MenaIP initiative stems from our keenness to unify mutual efforts and offer ideal opportunities to innovators, while prompting them to adopt creativity and entrepreneurship, the key elements of future success.”
Dr. Hawamdeh noted that the two initiatives seek to encourage talented and bright minds through supporting them and creating an environment that would help them to create brand names enjoying full intellectual property rights on the basis of their unique ideas.
The workshop included a number of activities and lectures, allowing attendees to pitch their ideas which will be examined and adopted by the organizing parties.
About this experience, the Founder of TTI, Belal Raslan, said: “This event represents a first step towards establishing a strong partnership with MenaIP. It is also considered a qualitative leap forward in the telecommunications and IT sectors, as it is expected to introduce new opportunities for youth in those sectors.”
It is worth mentioning that Trip to Innovation is a local initiative that seeks to cultivate the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among young talents and owners of start-ups, as well as introducing participants to a number of successful enterprises through organizing field visits to business incubators, national companies, and other entrepreneurial work environments.
