YaDig launches smart phone app for a seamless reviewing experience

12 December, Dubai -UAE:, the region’s largest review based website, announces the launch of its iPhone app. The iPhone app launch coincides with the increasing number of mobile users the site has been seeing over the past year. Out of the 250, 000 YaDig visitors, nearly 30% access the site from their mobile phones.  An easy to use mobile site has also been launched by YaDig this month to coincide with the launch of the mobile app and provide a variety of ways to access the site. provides ordinary people with a free platform to create and read reviews of restaurants, spas, gyms, nightlife and other businesses in their local area.

With traffic numbers of 250,000+ visitors a month, viewing over 30,000 business listings, the review site is rapidly becoming a go-to source of information by which consumers in the UAE and across the region can find trusted information and opinions.

YaDig recently partnered with Groupon, a daily deal website, to provide independent reviews for hotels, restaurants and other business deals. The app makes it easier for consumers to research reviews on the go before making a purchase and upload personal feedback. Users will also be able to use the app to post reviews about deals on Groupon’s site.  As reviews become more transparent, people will increasingly begin to trust the giant daily deal website

The iPhone app can be downloaded via iTunes, with BlackBerry and Android versions coming out in early 2013. The app will make it easy for consumers to take something they are already doing – posting and reading reviews online – and use it in real time in an even more convenient and effective way. Trusting that consumer valuations are the future in the region, the YaDig founders believe that the region will develop a culture of consumers expecting to see reviews before they make a decision, in a similar manner to other sophisticated retail markets.
