Most companies give employees one month’s salary for every year they worked there. Therefore, if you worked at a company for 2.5 years, you get two months’ salary. Many companies, however, neglect to settle severance payment because of ‘complications’. If your company gives you that excuse, file a complaint with the labor court and ask the company to explain the ‘complications’ to the Dubai government.
